Water From the Rock

It is hard to imagine water coming from a rock, yet this is exactly what my promise is to you today my child. Could the children of Israel imagine water gushing from a rock to feed the multitude? Yet I delight in doing the impossible. I delight in taking the harder route and proving myself to you.

For if you could bring about the miracles in your own power, where would your trust be in me? You would only think that you brought about the changes with your very hand. So do not become discouraged if I seem to be leading you to a rock face. For when you are at the end of yourself and you have no resources left, then I will gush water from the rock for you. When the way is steep and the situation impossible, I will reveal my glory to you.

For then you will know that I am God. Then you will lean on my power and trust in me alone. You will no longer lean on your own strength and abilities. For when you are at this place of weakness in yourself, then you can stand in my strength. So watch then. See the rock at your face and rejoice, for the very thing that looks so immovable today will be the solution to your cares tomorrow says the Lord. Amen

FIND HIM IN THE STORM

Dear Dave,
We all know how hurricanes work in the natural.  We know what they look like and what to do when one suddenly takes form. But how about the hurricanes in your personal life?
I'm sure you can easily recognize those times in your life when you feel pressure from all sides. There are situations that challenge you, circumstances that take all your strength and it seems as if it would never end.
As I found myself in the middle of such a hurricane, and as I came to the Lord and begged Him for a timeout – a little break – He showed me a wonderful picture.
Did you know that it is windless and completely calm in the eye of a storm?
I saw myself sitting in the eye of the storm. It blustered and roared around me, but in the eye of the storm, it was quiet and a gentle rain trickled on my head.
It does not matter what kind of situation you are in right now. I want you to close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting in the eye of the storm. Hear the Lord saying to you:

"My child, the storms in your life will come and go, but do not be tossed and turned around by them. Do not be caught in the whirl of the storm. Learn to find me in the storm instead. Because where I am, there is rest and peace. When you rest in me, you will be refreshed, even when everything around you is spinning around. Stay in this place. Stay in the eye of the storm. The storm may disappear and you may come into a time of joy and resurrection, but stay in this place. Another storm may follow and it will look as if the world will fall apart. Stay in this place. Stay in the calmness of my presence and feel my anointing and my refreshment coming down on your head like gentle rain.
No matter if the problems are many and the situations are tough or if things are easy, just stay in this place. When you learn to find me, not only in the storm, but in every situation of your life, you will indeed walk in a deep peace. This will be your time of rest. This will be your time of a break. So learn to find me in every situation of your life and take your break in me, my child."

When you discover this deep truth, you will not look for an escape or long for a timeout anymore. You will not long for a break from the training the Lord has placed you in because you will find this timeout and this peace, right in Him.
It does not matter where you are right now – seek the Lord. Find Him in the middle of a meadow with blooming flowers where everything is wonderful. However, find Him also in the middle of the problems of life. Find Him in the middle of the Storm.

Being Laid Bare

Being Laid Bare

Consider the humble orange today child. It is a basic fruit and from the outside it does not look like much. However when you open it up, there is so much goodness inside of it. In the same way there is so much goodness inside of you. You are rich and you have so much to offer this world and so much to offer me.

Unfortunately though, just like the orange, the skin that you show on the outside has a bitter taste and is not very appealing. You desire that people would see the goodness and worth inside of you, but if all you are presenting to them is that tough outer skin, then how can they taste and see that I am indeed good? How can they reach out and take hold of the treasures that are inside of you?

So it is time to change my child. It is time to put that tough and bitter skin away. It is time to allow me to strip you of those things that prevent the goodness from flowing outwards.

I know that this will leave you vulnerable and that you might feel afraid to stand naked, but if you put your life in my hands, I will surely protect you.

Allow me to change you! Then you will see many being drawn to you. For it is not them that must change – but you that must change first. If you change first, they will come towards you and be able to taste that good fruit. Then you will see something miraculous happen.

As they taste that fruit, it will start to change them as well and then suddenly their walls will start to fall and I can work on them as well. However I am starting with you today.

Will you give me the things you cover yourself with? Will you give me the outer shell that you show everyone? Trust your life into my hands and know that I will not hurt you. Be bold enough to take this risk and all the goodness I have put inside of you will surely gush out and bless many says the Lord. Amen.

Green Pastures

 

Green Pastures

A sheep has no fear when it grazes in the pasture. It simply enjoys the blessings and the time to feed. It knows that the Shepherd is watching over it and it has nothing to fear. If the food runs out, the Shepherd will take the sheep to another pasture. If a wild animal comes, the Shepherd will chase that animal way. 
In the same way I am the good Shepherd and it is my desire to take you into this season of rest my child. I desire for you to enjoy the good pastures that I have brought you to. I desire for you to rest and to give me all of your cares. So often though, you do not take the time to enjoy the pastures because you worry when the pasture will run out. You worry if a wild animal will come and harm you.
My child put your trust into me. Have I ever let you down? If a natural shepherd would give his life for his flock, how much more will I give everything I have for you? Put your trust into me and enter into my rest. Enter and enjoy the good pastures that I have given to you. Rather experience my peace than worry and fear.
I am not the author of worry. I am not the one who has brought fear into your life. These are things that the enemy would try to do. It is the enemy that wants to steal, kill and destroy. I came to give you life in abundance! So rather trust in me. Trust that I will protect you. Trust that I will take care of each need. As you lean on me now in faith, I will be faithful to cover you and to care for you says the Lord. 

I LOVE YOU

I love you!

This day I want to bring forth a new revelation of my love in your heart my child. You know what I have done for you. You come to me for help but so often you do not believe in your heart, says the Lord.
It was love that moved me to pay with my very blood so you could live. It was love that moves me each day to reach out to you and to pour my blessings upon you, says the Lord.
Are you starting to see my heart for you, my child? My heart is filled with love for you. It is because it is filled with love that I sometimes have to be strong and give you a clear direction.
My child, just come into the comfort of my presence and hide in my strong arms! I am right here. I have never left you nor forsaken you. My heart towards you never changes no matter what happens. My arms are always wide open.
So lay down your struggles. Lay down your fears and enter into my presence with gladness. Embrace my love and who I am, my child. I am your heavenly father and I love you so very much, says the Lord.

Riding the Storms

As a ship tossed about in the ocean, so also do you often feel tossed about by circumstances. However, do you not realize that it is these very waves that contain the power to take the boat to its destination?
It is the strong winds that will catch the sails and transport it and although it is not comfortable, it has the potential for power. Yet you complain about the winds and the discomfort. My child, it is these very circumstances that hold the power to take you to your destination.
You are so focused on the discomfort, that you are not harnessing the power of these situations. Instead of fighting against them, learn to ride them! Learn to ride the waves and the situations that challenge you. Learn to use my power like sails to catch the winds of life that will carry you. When you use the circumstances in your life to challenge you and carry you, you will learn to rise above them.
Then when you do this, you will turn to see that I am the very one at the helm of your ship. I am here steering you and I will even at times steer you into the wind so that my sails can catch it. So stop fighting child! Stop struggling and yield. Then pick up my power and face these situations. Learn to use these travails. Learn to use your faith in these circumstances and instead of avoiding the storms, you will learn to travel through them.
Then when you get through to the other side, you will see that you have gone further than you could have imagined. You will see that you have covered ground that you could not have in calm seas. So embrace the heavy winds now. Embrace these storms and then you will surely ride high, says the Lord. Amen.

Launching you like a bullet

Launching you like a bullet

 I am preparing you to be shot forth into the kingdom of darkness. Even as a bullet rests in the gun shaft for a while and is being lined up perfectly before the trigger is pulled, so am I lining you up perfectly before you are shot out into the darkness to bring light. I have given you all you need, I have already empowered you. All you need to do is let me line you up. Allow me to bring together the circumstances, allow me to polish you and place you in the spot you need to be, so that when I pull the trigger, you can be shot out in power. Trust in me says the Lord. I am preparing you for greatness. I am preparing you for the right time. I am lining you up in perfect accordance. So just surrender and allow me to do what only I can do, says the Lord.

Fix your eyes on the goal ahead

Fix your eyes on the goal ahead Although the clouds are think and dark around you, I am right here by your side, says the Lord. For yes, the fire may be hot right now and the waters may overflow you, but my hand is not too short to reach you. My hand is not to short to touch you and pull you out of the heat! Do not focus on the storms around you, put fix your eyes on the goal ahead. for the fire is there to make you shine. The storm is there to lift you higher and to equip you to withstand more. I am making you into my mighty warrior. I am making you into my star! Trust in me and fix your eyes on what lies ahead, says the Lord. Expand your vision and do not only look at what is happening right now but look at what is in the future. There is more that I have for you. There is more that I have called you to my child. Fix your eyes on me and on the goal ahead this day, says the Lord.

Leave it up to me

When a farmer plants a seed, he takes a step of faith each time. For he doesn't know what will become of that seed once it is planted into the ground. Once it is out of his hands and touches the soil, the farmer has no control over what happens any longer. He can water that seed and make sure that insects don't have easy access to it, but even then, he cannot go and dig up the seed to make sure it is okay. Once it is planted, a process of growth begins that the farmer cannot interfere in. It is the same with you. Each time you sow, each time you give you are handing me that seed in the spirit. It is then up to me to make sure that seed sprouts. It is not up to you. You can water it and keep watch over it in the spirit, but it is up to me to bring the growth, says the Lord. Trust in me. Give me your seed and once you placed it in my hands, leave it there. Do not go around trying to dig it up to make sure that it is growing. Each time you do that, you are blocking the growth. Each time you do that you are interfering with my process. So just let it go and place your trust in my ability to make something magnificent out of what you have given to me, says the Lord. For I delight in bringing in great harvests on your behalf. It is in me that you will see miracles come to pass and your needs met. So trust in me afresh today and allow me to bring growth to the seeds you have sown, says the Lord.

Take me into the hidden parts

Take me into the hidden parts Your heart is like a house with many rooms. There are rooms that are available to anyone to walk into and enjoy. But there are other rooms that maybe not everyone has access to. My child, when it comes to your relationship with me though, you can rest assured that if you give me access even to those hidden and private rooms of your heart, that you will be safe and understood. I am your heavenly father and I love you. I want to be there for you when you feel shattered and broken. I want to be there for you when you rejoice. I want to be there for you as you experience things in life that evoke different feelings. When you are angry, I want to be there for you and support you with a solution. When you are sad, I want to be there to comfort you. When you are full of joy, I want to be there to rejoice with you. When you hide away, I want to be there to give you company. I am your Daddy and it is most definitely not my way or intention to hurt you. So rest assured that I am on your side. Rest assured that I want to help you in every area of your life. I want to be part of what you go through. So come and rest in my arms right now. Open those hidden parts of your life to me, and experience how I take you through a transformation. As you allow me to touch those parts, so will you be more easy to approach by others and you will be able to also pour out to others more. Come away with me now and experience the power of my touch, says the Lord.

Just for a Moment More

When a dark cloud gathers over the earth it casts a shadow and everything seems bleak for that moment. However, the cloud cannot remain forever and a time must come when it will open up and reveal the sun that was always there. My child, the enemy often sends dark clouds into your life to block out the sun - but it does not mean that I have forsaken you. It might seem bleak at times and the shadow that the cloud casts makes things seem cold and for that moment you feel distant from me. Do not be afraid when this happens my child, but hold onto hope. For the cloud can only hold on for so long and then it will dissipate. For the enemy has only so many resources and then he can no longer continue. So press on with faith! Press on with hope, knowing that I am right there with you. Then very soon you will see that cloud split in two and the sun shine again. Then you will feel the warmth of my presence and you will feel peace again. So hold onto me this day my child. Hold onto your faith! Hold onto your hope and you will see that the darkness lasts but for a moment, but my love and mercy is forever, says the Lord. Amen.

Wait For the Rain

Wait For the Rain A farmer does not consider it a waste of time to bury his seed into the soil. Although it takes a lot of work to plough the ground and plant that seed, he keeps the hope in his heart of the harvest to come. He does not get discouraged when there are not immediate results either. He is confident in the seed that he has planted and he knows that it is just a matter of time before it will break through the soil. Sure enough, the rains come and the season changes and the land that looked desolate before suddenly starts to flourish with life. In the same way, you have spent a long time planting seeds my child. You have invested into the natural and in the spirit. Was the time you invested a waste of time? No, the seeds you planted were good and it is time now to wait for the rain and the change of season to come. The farmer rejoices in his weariness after a day of good work. In the same way, rejoice in the effort that you have put in and do not see it as a waste! For what looks like barrenness right now will transform in the right season into something incredible! So come now and wait for the rain to come. For it shall indeed come. Then all of that work will be worth it. As you see the fruit of your labor, you will understand the process of having to plant and then to wait. So rest now and know that I am surely in control. I have not forgotten your hard labor and I have seen every seed that you have sown my child. Put your trust now in me. Put your faith in my rain and in my season and then when things are silent, you will suddenly see the first signs of life and the seedlings begin to sprout. Be encouraged my child! For what looks barren now is about to break into new life. Your new season will soon be upon you says the Lord. Amen.

Tikus Dalam Celana
“Bangunlah hai kamu yang tidur dan bangkitlah dari antara orang mati dan Kristus akan bercahaya atas kamu.” (Efesus 5:14)
Suatu malam saat kami tengah asyik menonton televisi di pastori gereja, tiba-tiba seekor tikus kecil masuk ke dalam ruangan keluarga. Beberapa orang berteriak, yang lain melompat dan yang lain bergegas mencari pemukul. Segera kami mencari si tikus yang membuat heboh tersebut, tetapi setelah dicari-cari ternyata ia menghilang.
Di tengah hiruk pikuk ada seorang anak kecil yang tertidur pulas dan tidak sadar akan kejadian tersebut. Ia tidur di muka TV. Saat semua hendak menonton TV kembali, tiba-tiba kusadari ternyata tikus kecil itu bersembunyi di dalam celana sang bocah. Bocah itu baru saja terbangun dan memandang wajah kami dengan keheranan. Mungkin ia bertanya-tanya kenapa semua orang dalam ruangan memandangi dirinya. Hingga lalu ia tersadar bahwa ada seekor tikus dalam celananya, ia segera bangkit membuka celananya agar si tikus segera enyah dari tubuhnya.
Peristiwa itu mengingatkanku akan dosa. Terkadang kita tidak sadar bahwa dosa akan mencelakakan diri kita. Kadang kita menyembunyikan dosa itu dengan begitu rapat agar tidak ada seorang pun tahu. Tetapi sepandai-pandainya kita menyembunyikan dosa, ada Tuhan yang tahu segala dosa dan kesalahan kita. Tuhan sangat mengasihi kita dan Ia ingin agar kita bertobat. Bila kita telah sadar bahwa apa yang kita minati atau sukai merupakan dosa dihadapan Tuhan, ayo segeralah bangkit dari kubangan itu. Saat kita mengakui kesalahan kita dihadapan Tuhan maka Ia bukan saja mengampuni kita tetapi juga memberikan kekuatan bagi kita untuk mengalahkan dosa.

Come and Drink From Me!

Just like a water fountain always has fresh water gushing forth, so do I continually have a fresh touch for you my child. All you have to do is to run to that fountain and drink from it. But it can get so busy in your life there comes a time you just rush past the fountain and don't even notice that it is there anymore. You are so busy and are so totally set on your track, it is as if the fountain had gone invisible and you do not see it any longer.

Just stop in your tracks today my child and run to my fountain to come and receive my fresh touch, my fresh water, my fresh revelation - just everything you need to be filled up and ready to face your day. Make it a habit to stop by my fountain before you even start running. All you have to do is drink. All you have to do is reach out your hand and catch the water and drink it. I love you so much my child and I am always ready to refresh you and give you all that you need. Come to my fountain right now and receive the freshness you need to go out and take the world by storm this day, says the Lord.

Revel A While

Revel A While

Consider a master gardener says the Lord. He spends hours taking care of the garden. He pulls out the weeds and gives new life to the plants. He will work hours and days and even months to bring order.

What do you think the purpose is for all of this work? The purpose is to come to a place of joy and in relishing in the beauty that he has created says the Lord. Unless the gardner can stand back and enjoy the work of his hands, what purpose is there to all of that work?

And so the same applies to you my child. You have worked long and hard. You have had so many pictures in your mind about what things should look like. You have pushed through and at times you have even suffered.

I have seen the effort you have put in. I have seen the long hours that you have invested. But now is the time to stop and to enjoy the fruits of your labor my child. Even in the days of old, when the harvest was complete, I ordered my people to bring their first fruits and to enjoy them with a great celebration!

And so this time has come for you too. Take time today to enjoy the blessings that are in your life. Enjoy your accomplishments and take a moment to smell the fragrance of the garden you have planted. Put down your work tools for a moment and look around you!

Do you not see how far you have come? Can you not see how much you have done? I have indeed blessed the work of your hands. So complete my joy and revel for a moment in the good things that I have brought into your life.

For it is in these moments that you will come to know me more intimately than you ever have. It is in these moments of taking in the sights and the fragrance that you will feel my touch again. Then once you have rested, your strength will be renewed to face the next season of work that lies ahead of you says the Lord. Amen

Sweet Tender Love

Sweet Tender Love

There is nothing more peaceful than a sleeping child. There are no lines on their face or frowns on their brows. Only a rest and a trust. Take a lesson from a child says the Lord and learn to rest in me also.

Even though there are so many things that you must do and cares that you carry, I want you to be my small child and to rest in my arms for a while. Let these burdens go now and let the lines leave your face and the struggles leave your heart.

For a moment come and rest in my arms and you will find strength to face the day once again. My child it is in my joy and in my rest that you will find the strength and the miracles that you are looking for.

The more you strive and try to do things yourself, the more you will keep falling on the ground and grazing your knee. When a child is weary, it knows to put its head down and to sleep. You must do the same now. Stop the striving and the pushing and just come and rest in my arms now.

Take a moment away from all the work and the noise outside. As you do this, you will sense my presence and feel my hand stroking your hair. In this moment you will know and understand how much I love you. You will understand how little I expect of you.

For just as a parent loves their child, how much more I love and adore you. I rejoice in the things you get right and I want to reach out when you fail and get things wrong. I am not there to judge you or to hurt you. I am there to heal you and to let you lay on my lap.

So come now to me my child. Be as that little baby and let me smooth away the lines on your face. Let me rub away the dirt and the bruises of the day. Then as you sleep in my presence, realize that there is nothing that you can do or think that will remove my love from you.

You are precious to me my child. I loved you enough to give my very life for you. So rest now and let me revive you. Let me show to you my love and adoration says the Lord.
