One Step at a Time

Sometimes the way is clear and you are free to run ahead with great passion and zeal, but know that it will not always be so. My child, sometimes the way will be unclear, and you will not be able to see where to go, or recognize your surroundings. In this moment, do not be afraid, but know that I am right at your side. Just reach out your hand to me, and I am there. For when you cannot see, know that I can, and I know each and every step that you have taken, and have yet to take.
This is your chance to feel the warmth of my hand in yours, and that you can rest in my leading. Rest in the fact that I will never let your foot stumble upon as stone, or let you fall. Know that I am with you, and that as you walk with me, one step at a time, you will learn to walk at my pace and rest in my presence and enjoy the journey with Me.
Although it is exciting to run fast, my child, remember to cherish the time that we can walk so intimately together. For before long you will realize that you have come further that you could have thought possible. So, trust where I am leading, and take each day and each moment with me, one step at a time.
