The Consuming Fire

My child, perhaps you have been feeling my hand shaping you on the wheel of the potter. For some time now, through situations, pressures, relationships, conflicts, I have shaped you, molded you, and made you into the image that I need you to be. However, remember that you are like clay.
Now is the time for the fire to burn and harden the clay so that you can be used. How can I use a clay pot, if it has not gone through the fire to be hardened and ready for use? My child, I am the consuming fire that has come not just to burn away the dross, but to solidify the vessel that I have created.
Do not be disheartened when the fire comes and the pressures surround you. It is time to rejoice because I have seen something in you worth putting into the fire and solidifying. Indeed, through this very fire, I intend to bring forth the gold within you, says the Lord.
