Come to Rest
Lie down on this green pasture, my child and be at rest. I am here and I am not going anywhere. Come and put your burdens before me. I desire to take the weights off your back and to cover you with my joy instead.In me, you do not have to prove anything. In me, you can just lie down and enjoy the quiet waters. In my presence I can breathe life into you. I can restore and strengthen you where you are weary. So let go and come and rest in me for a while. The cares will not go away, but in my presence you will get the power you need, to carry these burdens with ease and with wisdom. Amen.
