The Journey Ahead
Just as you would enjoy a walk
through a forest, so also should you take the time to walk through the
different events in your life, says the Lord. So often you try to rush
towards the goals and the promises that I have for you, not realizing
that the greatest joy is in the walk!
The greatest peace is found
not just at your destination, but on the road that leads to it. For
when you take your time to walk the road that I have put before you
with all joy, you can be sure that you will not stumble and fall along
the way. You can be sure that you will live a life of rest.
So my child, although I have
set many new goals ahead of you, take time to enjoy the journey that
leads you to each one. Allow this walk to be as fulfilling in your life
as the promises that wait up ahead. For when you take a moment to
enjoy this walk - problems and good times alike - you will find me right
there next to you. You will see that I have been with you all along
and caused you to take the right step in the right time.
So come along with me then. Enjoy the journey with me and then when we
reach the destination, it will be that much more fulfilling, says the
Lord. Amen.
