You are Perfect to Me
Today my face shines upon you,
says the Lord. If only you could see how much I delight in you and how
precious you are to me. In the world you will have tribulation. You
will hear many times how much you have failed and how much you do not
make the grade. You will see your failures and your weaknesses.
However, my child, when you
come into my presence I do not see these things. I see only your face
and the one that I love. I see the one that I died for and I think
about how precious you are to me. If only you can lay aside all your
striving and the things that you are not content with to just rest in
my love and adoration of you.
If only you can lean on me and
allow my voice to be louder in your life than the others that would
tear you down. For if you allow my voice to be louder, then you will
hear about how wonderfully made you are. You will hear me tell you the
things that I love most about you. You will hear me tell you how to
stand and to diffuse my glory into this earth.
So let my light shine on you today. Come and bask in my sun a little
while. Shut out the condemnation and the voices that only seek to pull
you down and turn up the volume on my voice. Then you will find your
peace. Then you will see who you really are and come to know that you
are beautiful in my sight, says the Lord. Amen.
